Divya Sharma is the recipient of the Green Leadership Award and an international expert on climate action, with a particular focus on energy and the environment. Her core expertise lies in urban policy and planning, urban infrastructure, and climate resilience, backed by over 21 years of professional experience. She brings more than a decade of management and leadership experience to her work.

Divya possesses deep regional knowledge across the climate change domain, including both adaptation and mitigation, and is well-versed in international dialogues and negotiations in this space. Her work spans multiple geographies, including India, Indonesia, Nepal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan, where she has engaged with all levels of government—national, provincial, and city.

She has collaborated with a wide range of clients, including DFID, UNEP, USAID, the World Bank, Agence Française de Développement (AfD), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Rockefeller Foundation, C40 Cities, and the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, as well as several private sector entities.

Currently, she serves as an international climate advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative and the Good City Foundation. She is also a member of the Board of Directors at Transition Research. In addition, Divya has served on several advisory committees for both international and national initiatives focused on climate-smart development, sustainable consumption and production, future lifestyles, and the visioning of future cities.
